Just as with the connection between mind and body, the individual and society create a mutually dependent framework in which growth can occur. Only in regulating processes of behavior by inventing socially accepted norms does a society force upon its members a linear negative pattern of growth. It is therefore essential that the individuals follow a self-diagnosed pattern of truth therefore creating a grounded community, in which the society is dependent on the individual rather then the other way around.
